Peter Eddison offers clients
expert knowledge in the areas of business planning, and market strategy and positioning.
He has spent the past 25 years working in the high-technology industry, as a software developer,
project manager, consultant, marketer and entrepreneur.
Peter co-founded Fulcrum
Technologies Inc. in 1983, and served as the company's Chief
Marketing Executive until 1996. He was responsible for worldwide
marketing activities, including product marketing, marketing programs,
channel marketing and public relations. During this time, Fulcrum
grew to be the acknowledged leader in full-text information retrieval
software, with operations throughout North America and Europe, a
growing presence in Japan and Australia, and annual sales of approximately
$50 million.
Later serving as Fulcrum's Vice-President Strategy and Business Development,
Peter focused on identifying long-term business options and strategic acquisitions and partnerships.
Prior to his years at Fulcrum, Peter served
as the Vice-President Engineering, Commercial Systems division,
at NABU Manufacturing Inc. He
was responsible for a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and product
managers designing and building computer hardware and systems and
applications software.
In 1975, Peter co-founded Mobius
Software, a computer systems consulting firm, going on to
act as senior consultant and manager for a wide range of major projects
for public and private sector clients in Canada, Europe and Asia.
Peter graduated from Queen's University with a degree in economics and
mathematics and undertook graduate studies in computer science. He was the first winner of the
Lovelace Prize in Computer Science and also received a Queen's Tricolour Award.
Active in his community, Peter takes a special interest in professional
development and education. He serves on the board of advisors of the Queenıs University MBA for
Science and Technology. He is also a founding member of Zone5ive, the technology marketing forum
of the Ottawa Centre for Research and Innovation (OCRI).
