Champions for Children
Ending child and youth abuse and neglect, through the promotion and funding of prevention programs,
is the mission of the Champions for Children Foundation. Working closely with the Children's Aid Society,
the foundation actively recruits individuals, organizations and corporations to join in protecting those
in our community who are most at risk.
Citizen Advocacy of Ottawa-Carleton
This registered charitable organization is dedicated to helping people with disabilities participate
fully in community life. Citizen Advocacy matches volunteers with people living with disabilities, resulting
in one-on-one supportive friendships. The group also works with other organizations to build a community
that not only welcomes people with disabilities, but values them.

The Community Foundation of Ottawa
Overseeing the development and management of a permanent community endowment fund, the Community Foundation
of Ottawa-Carleton provides grants in areas of social services, health, education, environment, the arts and

The Ottawa Senators Foundation
The Ottawa Senators Foundation is a registered Canadian charity that was launched in October 1998. With the support
of founding sponsors Molson Breweries, Compaq, and Bell their mandate is to provide gifts and gifts in kind to
registered Canadian charities and bursaries to students in financial need pursuing post-secondary education.
Their Board of Directors is composed of ten distinguished business people and media personalities
whose commitment to the region is evidenced by their past and current involvement in community benevolent endeavours.
Their guidance and direction has meant that the Foundation has already had a significant impact in their operating area
of Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec. In their first year of operation, the Foundation provided over $300,000 in financial aid to
organizations within the community which service disadvantaged youth. Together with the Ottawa Senators Hockey Club,
over $350,000 was provided to the community through in-kind donations and player appearances.

Queensway-Carleton Hospital Foundation
The role of the Queensway-Carleton Hospital Foundation is to support Queensway-Carleton Hospital in fulfilling its
mission to provide outstanding care and medical excellence for the community it serves.
Over the past nine years, the Foundation has played a vital role in providing the hospital with
the resources to enhance patient care and purchase essential medical equipment. The Foundation staff work together
with members of their volunteer Board of Directors in the fundraising and development process.
In addition, the Foundation has developed partnerships with corporate and community groups who
uphold their goal to provide quality care and to maintain Queensway-Carleton Hospital's position as a leader in community
health care.
United Way/Centraide Ottawa
United Way/Centraide Ottawa is a non-profit organization that works in partnership with community agencies and
organizations. Its mission is "to bring people and resources together to build a strong, healthy, safe, community
for all."
By bringing groups together to share experience and expertise, United Way/Centraide is working

The Rehabilitation Centre
The Rehabilitation Centre specializes in the rehabilitation of people with physical disabilities.
The Centre serves the residents of Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec in both official languages and
is a fully accredited teaching hospital affiliated with the University of Ottawa.
