Pathways to Performance
Jim Clemmer
Clemmer has a dry wit, so this is a fun read. More to the point, Pathways
to Performance provides some very practical advice on leadership,
personal growth, and creating an environment for learning. While this
book is out of print, it can still be found in second hand stores.
Clemmer is also the author of Firing on All Cylinders. (Prima
Publishing)
The 7 Habits of
Highly Effective People
Stephen R. Covey
Say what you will, Covey offers some sound advice here. Dust this
one off every now and again, and skim through as a reminder of good
personal habits. It's also available in audio cassette format. (Fireside
Publishers, 1990)
The Reward Plan
Advantage
Jerry McAdams
This is perhaps the only book on compensation that won't put you
instantly to sleep. McAdams explores many of the human behaviour
issues that underlie the creation of a truly great rewards structure.
